SGR Structural Engineers provide structural and civil engineering design and supervision on a large variety of projects. We work closely with the client from the early stages to ensure that the final product matches the client\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n

At SGR Structural Engineers we have experience with numerous construction methods from traditional steel and concrete frames to offsite precast concrete or timber panels. We aim to provide the most suitable structure for any given site, taking into account the individual site conditions and the required end use.<\/p>\n

Different construction methods can be reviewed at this stage so the client can select their preferred solution. Alternatively, we have been involved at the later stages to advise the client on alterations to existing structures and internal fit-out.[\/vc_wp_text][\/vc_column][vc_column el_class=”service-custom-block” width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”7559″ img_size=”476×319″ alignment=”center”][vc_wp_text title=”Civil Design”]We provide the design and drawings for both foul and surface water drainage systems. We provide the information required during the planning process and develop this into full construction information for site. We carry out pre-purchase surveys for clients looking to purchase a private or commercial property. This involves a detailed inspection of both the internal and external space including the attic. The information gathered during the survey is logged in a report along with any photographs taken. Any areas of concern are noted in the report so that they can be investigated further or monitored. This is a good opportunity for clients to discuss any alterations they are proposing and what effect these might have on the existing structure.<\/p>\n

Opening up works, drainage surveys or detailed ground investigations are organised where necessary to determine the cause of any deterioration of the existing structure. SGR Structural Engineers Ltd. was established by Shane Griffin in 2016. Shane is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology Bolton Street, and a chartered engineer with The Institute of Structural Engineers and Engineers Ireland. Shane has worked on a variety of projects from single residential properties to large multi-million euro commercial and residential developments in Ireland and the UK.<\/p>\n

At SGR Structural Engineers we have provided the complete structural and civil design for a variety of projects from the concept stage right through to completion on site. We also carry out the design of secondary elements for steel fabricators and fit-out contractors. This can include connection design, architectural staircases and working platforms.<\/p>\n

Once the proposed works have been reviewed, we provide sketches showing the preferred structural layout and highlight any areas that may need further investigation. We put particular emphasis on Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to ensure we are keeping up to date with the construction industry. The Institute of Structural Engineers and Engineers Ireland ensure that chartered engineers are carrying out CPD every year.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″]
